The hotwire hobby kit is the perfect entry-level polystyrene cutting kit for hobbyists, model makers, and art and craft applications. The hotwire and pen are easy to use and allow for precise, clean cuts. The kit includes a hotwire bow with a 15cm span, hot pen, fine engraving tip for precision engraving, a spare wire for the bow, an adaptor for use with 240V mains power and a stand to support the heated tool whilst in use.

With 8W of power, the three interchangeable heads are for use with low-density polystyrene. The device heats up in 10 seconds and cuts quickly and cleanly. There is no need to push hard, let the heat do the work; don’t drag the wire or wand faster than the heat is cutting the foam. It is recommended to give the power supply a rest every 15-20 minutes for optimal performance.
